Affair With a Stranger

Playwright William Blakeley (Victor Mature) and his beautiful wife, Carolyn (Jean Simmons), have hit hard times in their marriage. They lose the baby that they were expecting, causing considerable strain on their relationship, and William's demanding job working on Broadway only makes matters worse. When actress Janet Boothe (Monica Lewis) tries to seduce William, it would seem to signal the end of the marriage -- but things take an unexpected turn for the estranged couple.
